After Christmas Family Time, #2
Upon arrival on Tuesday afternoon, us gals hit up the Christmas sales at TJ Maxx, Michael's, and Hobby Lobby. A bite to eat at Bonefish, and we hit the hay early. On Wednesday, we were ready to go again...lunch at Pier Park while we waited on our early movie, How do you Know? to start. We poked around the boutiques there, made a nice visit to Target, and met up with the boys fresh off their 3rd day hunt. The crew all piled into the car to have a fun dinner at The Boatyard. On Thursday, it was time for the Outlets and Smith's Antiques in Destin. That was fun! No one left empty handed! We made it just in time to get movie theater food for dinner and see Little Fockers. So, so, so funny! Friday was filled with a nice walk and mani/pedis for the girls and a little UGA football for the guys before a wonderful dinner at Firefly. We've had some special times at Firefly....the Wednesday night before Jill and Davis' wedding, dinner there the night David asked my Dad if he could marry me (I didn't know this until after the fact, of course), special dinners with friends on Labor Day weekends, and two New Year's Eve dinners. It our favorite place on the beach, and if you're in PCB, its a must-do. The food is always wonderful, there's live music, and a fabulous atmosphere. After a rainy ride home on Saturday, we're all re-energized and ready for 2011.

After Christmas Family Time
On the morning of the 27th, the whole family piled into two cars like the Griswolds and headed to Albany for lunch en route to Arlington for a few days at Quail Country. With full bellies from Blackbeard's, we made it in time for an afternoon skeet shoot before dinner and then watching the Falcon's game. All of the boys needed a refresher for the next morning's hunt, and the girls all shot too - just for fun! It was a gorgeous afternoon, but very cold. We all enjoyed a superb supper of pork chops, veggie medley, and rice compliments of the resident chef, Pepper. A couple of post-dinner games of Mountain Rummy later and we all went to bed. The next morning, we piled into 2 quail buggys and set out for the morning's hunt. Fifteen birdies later, we headed back to the main house for a lunch of mashed potatoes, peas, and meatloaf. It was delicious! The gals packed up, and headed to PCB for some girl time.
