Griffin Christmas

The annual Griffin Family Christmas was this past weekend at Kathryn and Justin's home. They have baby Morgan - Henry's cousin who is almost 2 weeks older than him.

I snapped a few pics of the pretty tables

Prezzies!

Henry and Morgan checking each other out!

We'll have the BEST time with them growing up together!

Times have changed....two bouncers!

The annual Dirty Santa swap

David and I had the last two numbers - the best ones in this game!

Henry and Morgan had fun practicing "sitting up" and "walking"

And then it was just more fun to gnaw on Morgan's toes

But jumping with Pop is pretty fun too!

Merry Christmas everyone!

Our Little Prince

It's hard to believe that our Henry is two weeks old today!
These past 14 days have been a blissful blur of visitors, delicious dinners, pediatrician appointments, a few errands for Mommy, late night feedings, and lots of time cuddling. Henry is so blessed to have so many people who love him already! And Mommy and Daddy appreciate all of the generous help we've received!

Henry has so many cute things that he does! He's very squirmy and active, so swaddling is out of the question. We're going through a few outfits a day, and plenty of diapers too. :)

I love this of him at one week old with his little hand tucked under his chin.

I was able to wash his hair before we were allowed to give him a full bath - and it's so cute and fluffy!

He loves to sleep with his arms thrown back, and most times he has one hand near his face.

We finally got to bathe him, and he absolutely loves bath time! He's so content when I am washing him and loves to be dried off with his fluffy hooded towels.

He's fun to photograph, but I am partial!
If you follow me on Instagram, I apologize for the Henry overload! ;)

Loved him in his preppy little Polo!

Today, Henry is two weeks old, and I can see so many changes in him already. He's such a good baby. He only fusses when he's hungry and loves to sleep in Mommy's arms. He's very alert when not napping, and growing so much! I love his hair in the little faux-hawk...he's got so much hair, it's easy to style!

Happy Birthday! We love you!

Thomas Henry Griffin

Last Monday, on May 20th, David and I welcomed our little one into the world!
Thomas Henry Griffin was born at 6:56am, weighing a perfect 7 lbs 9 oz, and was 20" long.
We are crazy in love with Henry and feel so blessed with the gift of him!
He is named for his two grandfathers - Thomas Randolph Coody and Ben Henry Griffin.
Along with David and I, all of the grandparents, aunts, and uncles were so happy to meet him upon his arrival!

We are so happy to have him home!

Mother's Day Weekend

In anticipation of Baby G's arrival, my mom was here for a few days. We had the best time playing, but the bambino is still a no show. Alas, she left yesterday afternoon so maybe he'll decide to make his appearance now - today is my due date, so we'll see!

My parents and I met at the Atlanta Symphony Decorator's Showhouse last Thursday to see James speak and to tour the house - fun day! We got to see Jill and her mom Fran, and Hollie and Kaci too!
On Friday, Mom and I spent the day in Athens, and on Saturday toured Gibbs Gardens in Ball Ground, Georgia. It was just gorgeous! But all that walking still didn't get Baby G up and moving!
Sunday was spent with family, and it was so nice! David and I were able to host everyone, and it was the loveliest day celebrating our mothers!
I sure am blessed to have the one God gave me!
And the mother in law I've been blessed with too!

Here's a little bit of our day at Gibbs Gardens:

We had so much to celebrate yesterday! Asa is graduating on Friday, but we won't be able to be there - so a chocolate Cecilia cake was just the ticket! We also had a strawberry cake to celebrate the Mothers!

Abbye surprised me by coming in on Saturday night! I was so so so excited! We were in the movies watching The Great Gatsby (ah-mazing BTW) and she walked in! I was too pumped!

So lucky to have everyone here yesterday!

We had the nicest time hanging out - I was sad to see everyone go!
Glad Gongaman could be here too!

Here we are - 40 weeks! Come on Baby G!
