We {LOVE} being outside

Boy, does Henry love being outside! And he loves his Baxter too!
In honor of the holiday of {LOVE} coming up, I am sharing our afternoon playing outside, and the love between these two brothers. :)

Farm Weekend

A few weekends ago, we headed to the King Farm in South GA to spend a few days with my college girlfriends, their husbands, and all of the kiddos. We make a lot of effort to get together, especially with the guys and kids, and it may get harder as time goes on (there are 4 more babies on the way in the group!) but we love when we can make it work now.

Jill and Davis are excellent hosts, and we had a ball all weekend long!

Here's my curly headed little boy all snuggled up on the wolf rug.

He and Hampton have such a good time together!

That's Judson, Hampton, Henry and David taking in the new addition to the group - Miss Elly - during her bathtime.

And then it was their turn! Emerson joined them too!

While we have traditionally done a Secret Santa swap for the past 11 years, this year we tried something new - all nine of us chose one of our favorite things and gifted it to everyone else. It was SO MUCH FUN! Everyone was super creative, and I loved all the loot!
We still do a Secret Santa for the kids, and a White Elephant ornament swap too.

Saturday was outdoors day. We got the kids bundled up and played all day long.
Here's Henry with sweet Emerson.

And with Luke - Henry was enamored with him, the "big" boy!

We tried to get the chickens to come out, and a few were willing.

We played with the horse through the fence.

And I tried to snap lots of pics of the kids in action.

Sweet David saying "cheese!"

Henry and Hampton

They love each other!

Sometimes so much they fall down!

I chased them around with the camera and they obliged :)

My man on a mission

Our darling Emerson!

We took a hay ride with Davis pulling us with the tractor!

The boys set out to find some birds to shoot.

And I took a few shots at the clays. Hit my first and last one! Not bad for 3 years of no practice.
Nick took the cool slow-mo pics where you can see the clay, my shot, and the smoke.

We took one last pic on Sunday morning of all the kids together.
Judson (15 months), David (2 years), Luke (6), Elly (2.5 months), Hampton (20 months) and Henry (20 months)

Later that day, Henry helped Ben celebrate turning 9! I cant believe our nephew is 9! He should still be Henry's age!

Happy Birthday to Ben! We love you!

Colorado 2015

In addition to Brince's surprise party, Laura Lyn planned him a fun trip to ski in Colorado for 5 days, and we were lucky enough to be invited along with them!

After we landed in Denver, got our rental car, and headed to Copper Mountain (where we'd be staying for the next 5 days), we met one of our friends Ric for a late lunch!
Ric and his wife Joy live in Denver where he's an attorney and she's an RN. We loved hearing all about the CO lifestyle and how much fun they've had while living in Denver. I would love to go visit in the summer time to hike, camp, and bike.
So fun to see GA friends!

Monday was our first ski day, and we were excited to have fresh snow and a rainbow!

The views from the lifts were incredible. We had awesome visibility all week long.

That night, we headed into Breckenridge (about 30 minutes from us) for a drink and dinner.
It was such a cute town!

Dinner at Briar Rose Chophouse was so good! We loved the menu and had a great time.

Tuesday was a great ski day too, and there were nothing blue skies.

Later that night, we scooted to Frisco (about 15 minutes from us) for a drink at the Boatyard and dinner at Vinny's

My college friend and post-college roomie Meghan lives in Denver, and I was so excited to have her come to dinner with us! Meghan and I graduated from the Furnishings and Interiors program at UGA, and she's now working for Schumacher in Denver. Fun job!
Vinny's was wonderful and our company was awesome! I loved hearing her perspective on how the lifestyle is different from the south, her job, and her friends.

Wednesday, our last ski day, was extraordinarily gorgeous, and we skied until they shut our lifts down!

We made it to the top of the mountain a few times (it was a nice, long run from the top), and had a ball taking in the scenery and taking lots of pics too!

Here's my cute hubs about to start down the mountain

The birthday boy!

Brince and Laura Lyn - she planned such a fun trip!

Later that night, we headed to Vail (about 20 minutes) to have dinner with our friends Colby and Jamie at Up The Creek - awesome dinner and loved our company!
They were in town with Jamie's family to ski for the long weekend.

Thursday brought our trip to an end, and we were sad to leave Colorado!
But we were super happy to arrive home to our little man!
Here he is all bundled up - I think we brought the cold weather home with us!
