Baby, Prom, A Wedding, etc.

Hi Y'all!
It's been a while since I filled you in....we've been busy getting ready for baby around here!
His clothes are washed, blankets washed, baby book is ready, camera is charged, nursery finished, swing is ready, car seat here...whew! We've had so much to be done!

Here's what else we've had going on the last few weeks...

Here I am at 36 weeks, 2 weeks ago - Baby Griffin is really growing!

Later that week, we met our fun friends Colby and Jamie for a night out at 10 Degrees South in Atlanta. It was delish!

We scooted to Hawkinsville to see baby bro all decked out for his senior Prom - he looked so sharp!
David and I probably won't be able to make it to his graduation  since we'll have our hands full with a newborn...but I'm so glad we got to see Asa on this fun night.
The senior class met at The Henderson Village for photos and dinner, so it was fun to see them all dressed up.

Brince, Laura Lyn and Cooper were there too!

Good looking kiddos!

And handsome men!

Asa and Sydney looked great on their big night!

And I was so happy to see our cousin Claire too - she looked beautiful!

That's the senior class all eating together on the sun porch

And we made it to Senior lead out too

Here I am at 37 weeks...can't hide this baby bump any more! ha!

Last week was my final day at Heery's Too for a while - after work, the ladies and I went to Speak Easy to celebrate Baby G's impending arrival. Here I am with Suzanne!

At my latest doctor's appt, I was told Baby G was no where near ready to make his entrance, and got the green light to go to Memphis for a friend's wedding. Looks like our little guy is gonna be cookin' for a bit longer!

On Thursday of last week, David and I celebrated our 4 year anniversary at Abbatoir in Atlanta. We can't believe how quickly 4 years has flown by - it's been 4 years of  a lot of fun, love, and laughter! And we are so happy to have this baby almost here to complete our little family!

Over the weekend, we were in Memphis/Tunica for the wedding of Chris and Victoria - Brince was in the wedding, and my parents were there too. The rehearsal dinner and ceremony took place in Memphis at St. Mary's Catholic Church, while the reception was at Harrah's in Tunica.

Here's Adam, Clayton, David and Asa before the rehearsal dinner.

And a few shots around the casino

Mom, Dad, and I made a pit stop at Graceland over the weekend - it was so much fun!

And I got to spend some time with my best friend Amy too - she and Chris came to the wedding along with our friends Griffin and Allison - there was a great Westfield crew there representing!

Now, I am at 38 weeks preggie! Baby G and mommy are going great! The Dr. thinks he'll be about 7.5lbs if he comes on time - and David and I are super anxious to meet our little one!

Lately

There's a few things we've had going on that I wanted to share:

I had a 3D/4D sonogram of our Baby G at 34 weeks along - for you preggos who haven't done it, I highly recommend it! It was so cool to see our little guy!
My brother Brince and BFF Amy came with me

As did the two grandmothers!

We could see that our little man has a Coody mouth - looks a lot like his Uncle Brince's!

There were tons of 4D images like the one above, and neat 2D ones as well. We can tell he's got bright red full lips, chubby little cheeks, and some hair too! We got to see a yawn, a glimpse of a smile, and a quasi-blink too. That's the umbilical cord in the back. He likes his feet by his face and keeps his hands close too.

I got to celebrate my future sister in law's first party - a ladies' luncheon at Houston Lake Country Club. We had a delicious lunch of fruit, chicken salad, and chocolate chip pie!

Here's LL opening her hostess gift...she looked so pretty that day!

Here's my BFF Amy and our friend Victoria - Victoria will be marrying one of our childhood friends next weekend!

The beautiful mother of the bride - Mrs. Lyn, and the maid of honor - Anna Grace with Laura Lyn

LL with her hostesses - it was a lovely party to begin LL and Brince's wedding season!

LL and my mom!

I got to help install James' room at the Atlanta Symphony Showhouse along with his other worker bees - LL, Sami, and Kaylee

Celebrated a sweet friend's (Maggie Lunsford) 30th birthday at the Brantley Pavilion

Happy Wednesday everyone!

A Hometown Shower for Baby G

Over Easter Weekend, Baby Griffin and I were showered with love once again! My aunts along with my mom's special friends held a lovely shower on Saturday morning to celebrate our soon-to-be-here little one! Everything was just gorgeous! Finally, spring was in the air!

The hostesses went all out to make every detail so very special...here are the adorable cookies made with love by the talented Mrs. Jan McCord - they were just delicious!

A coffee bar was set in the sun room along with lemon water

A mum covered baby rattle graced the front door - isn't it just precious!!!

There was a wishing tree for Baby G on the front porch - so sweet!

David stopped by to tell everyone hello before the party began!

And so many special friends were there to celebrate with us! Loved seeing Amy and Mrs. Connie!

Even Baby Ansley and Baby Charlotte came with their pretty mommies - Shelley and Jesse! So glad to see these little princesses!

The food was just delightful! Fruit, cheese straws, lady fingers, cookies, chicken salad, and quiche graced the dining room table - it was all wonderful! And I loved the flower arrangements!

These are some pretty special women in my life!
Mrs. Judy, Claudette, Bevvy, my Aunt Jill, Trina, Jenn, Tina, and my Aunt D!

Baby Griffin was fixed up! He is totally spoiled already and will be the most chic bambino around!

Here are the grandmothers - what a lucky thing our little man will be!

It was a fabulous morning and I loved every minute of seeing everyone!
Now, I'm almost 36 weeks - only a month to go to meet our little bundle of love! I've had the best pregnancy, and have been so lucky to feel good over the last nine months. We can't wait to meet our baby boy though - he'll be here soon!
