Thankful.

David and I are so blessed to spend the time with our family and friends that we do. We make great efforts to see them all as much as possible, and feel so lucky to be able to see them often - especially our family. Thanksgiving was no exception - we got to see most of our family and many friends!

Our Thanksgiving holidays began with scooping up Christen from the airport on our way to Hawkinsville. Amy met us at the Watson's, and we snapped a pic - there are literally hundreds of us three over our 20 years....we definitely needed just one more! :)

We got to see Christen's whole family too, which was wonderful!

After a delicious and fun family time at my Aunt D's for Thanksgiving lunch, David and I headed to Lake Blackshear for time with the Griffins. We spent Thursday night with Pammy and Pop before enjoying another delicious Thanksgiving lunch on Friday once Amanda and Ben arrived. David, Ben, and Pop got in some good fishing time while we were there too!

On Friday night, I travelled with my parents and sibs to (what would be Asa's last game) Newnan to see Asa play in the State Playoffs. It was cold and windy! The game was such a sad loss, and none of us wanted to think that it was "over." Asa played a great game though, and I was so proud to be there for it!

On Saturday night of the break, my party-planning sister Abbye hosted the annual Coody Cabin Classic. It was so fun! There was great live music, good food, and even better company to visit with. We took the opportunity to snap a few Coody-Childers cousin pics while there!

New sister addition!

Later, on Sunday evening, we surprised my Dad with an early 60th birthday party at the cabin! Mom totally pulled it off and he was completely caught off guard! 

It was a great night, and Dad's best buds were there along with the fam!

Mom grabbed some de-lish cookies from my friend Linsey's booth at the Mistletoe Market - Two Crazy Cookies. Mom and Abs worked so hard to decorate the cabin early for Christmas too...really had us all in the spirit! We are all so thankful for family, and especially my Mom - she makes everything special! We all loved celebrating my awesome Dad - 60 is a big year for him! He's going to become a grandfather, his 3rd child will be graduating from college, his second child will be getting married, and his baby will be graduating from highschool! We are blessed, indeed!

Lots to celebrate!

November is full of birthdays! 

A few weeks ago, my best friends and I all got together for my 29th birthday dinner at Yebo in Atlanta! 

I loved the chevron background at our table - made for cute pics!

And later in the week, got together again to celebrate our friend Brian's Big 3-0! Meghan planned the sweetest surprise party for him at Shula's in Buckhead. We loved being there to ring in Brian's 30's with him! 

Last week, it was Renee's turn! A fun group of girls met at Georgia Grille to celebrate her 28th year! 

I spent a few days in Hawkinsville last week, and while there I got to celebrate my birthday and my best friend Amy's 29th together - and we were so happy that James joined us too!

Last Friday night, my brother Brince proposed to his awesome girlfriend Laura Lyn while we were all together in Athens for the GSU/UGA game! 

Truly, we could not be happier to welcome Laura Lyn into our family! 

After our celebratory dinner, we hit Boar's Head for a band party!

What I've been up to

I've been cray cray busy lately. Not that I'm complaining....I've been busy with work and I like lots to do. Thought I'd share what the past lil' while has looked like in my nutty life!

David has been nursing our poor baby back to health after his fall back in August (I've been helping a tish, but David's been looking after this baby while I've been looking out for the one I'm currently cooking). 10 weeks later, we have a cast off and no more cone. He was pitiful for a while, but we're back on track.

I got inspired and grabbed a water color set from my home away from home, Michael's.

David says that their corporate office loves when I walk through the doors of this craft store ;)

I'm a pretty good customer

And got to paintin' a few delft blue pagodas and some forest creatures

I hanged a few of them in my and James' room at the Atlanta Homes and Lifestyle's Holiday House

After installing for the AHL house, I installed my booth at Gainesville's Marketplace...here it is under construction

I enjoyed Preview Party with friends like Callie

And my co-host for Heery's Too's booth, Rosemary

I also set up Artsy Garden's area on the Green Street Porch

And made it onto the Gainesville Times' website

James came to talk at Marketplace on Saturday, which everyone loved!

In the meantime, I was still enjoying the delicious birthday petit fours that my sweet mommy brought to me....seriously, I may have eaten every one :)

Turning 29 was made a little easier when you have a hubs like mine who spoils me rotten with 4 different kinds of flowers and this gorge statement necklace I've wanted for like 6 months. Seriously, he's the best.

And in my spare time {not!}, I have been making wreaths do decorate the abode for Christmas

I wanted to share my little pumpkin's progress with you all!

I am 13 weeks along, with only 189 days to go. Ha!

There's not a whole lot to see yet in the way of a "bump", but I promised myself to take a few pictures along the way to document my changes. The little nugget is about the size of a key lime now, and we heard it's heartbeat a few weeks ago. What a sweet sound that was!

I've felt great so far, nothing weird or out of the ordinary besides the normal preggo fatigue (which really cramps my style - I don't like to sit down very much!). I recently had a cold, but that is about as bad as I've felt! Cooking this tiny bun does have some fun perks though - my hair is thicker and growing fast, as are my fingernails. I took pre-natal vitamins for about 8 months before we decided to start a family, so my hair and nails were already changing over the summer. I read that taking the vitamins before becoming pregnant can help with the morning sickness...since I haven't had any, maybe that's actually true!

I'm attempting to continue to eat healthy - lots of fruits and veggies - but it's been difficult to resist the Halloween candy! I'm having a little coffee in the mornings, but drinking maja amounts of water - I've been crazy thirsty!

We've got an appointment this week for a checkup with my new doctor here in Gainesville...we'll discuss the tests I need to take, discovering the gender, and how the baby and I are progressing. I am loving every minute of it all while learning a lot too. Our families and friends have been so supportive and excited for us...we feel so much love for Baby Griffin already!
