Little lake boys, a company gathering, and a birthday

Last Saturday was so fun... our friend April drove over from Athens with her two precious lil' guys, George (almost 5) and Oliver (just turned 3) to spend the day on the lake. They're so sweet and I love when I get to spend time with them!
Later in the day, Amanda, Ben (6 1/2), and our friend Jennifer came too - so glad they were here! We had a boat full of family, friends and sweet little boys!
Captain George!

Ollie!

Take #1

Take #2 - all smiling!

Love this kiddo! He played so hard in the water! He's become such a great swimmer and has a fantastic cannon ball!

George and Ollie had lots of rocks to toss in the water

Ben's a great boat driver too! With Da-Duh's assistance of course

On Sunday, we had all of David's co-workers from Metro Appraisals over for a lake afternoon. I invited  their spouses and kids too, and we had a fantastic turn out! It was so fun to visit with them...everyone brought delicious food and the kids had a ball jumping off the boat house and playing in the water.

I was so excited to spend the day in Atlanta on Monday with Mom and Abbye for an early 22nd birthday celebration for Abs. We went to the Mart, Lewis and Sheron, Peridot, Home Goods, and finally ended with a phenomenal dinner at Baccanalia.

Happy Birthday Abs!

Summer on the water

After the beach, we've been able to enjoy time on the lake this summer. Two weekends ago, I joined my college BFFs for a lake weekend at The Muller's house in Blue Ridge. It was so awesome to catch up and relax together!
On Friday night, we met downtown Blue Ridge for a great dinner at Harvest on Main.
Afterward, it was pj and gossip time! :)

After breakfast on Saturday, we quickly changed to swimsuits and spent the day lounging on top of the boat house, riding jet skis, watching a little wake surfing, and having Dr. Muller as our captain for a booze cruise!
We spent the day on Saturday in the water and on the boats!

So pretty!

Everyone brought sides for dinner, and Dr. Muller and Mrs. Beth grilled us chicken - it was all delicious!
And even had a little Stella and Dot party Saturday afternoon!
No matter how old we are, it's always going to be fun to play dress up!

This past weekend, we had our friends Colby and Jamie up for some quality time on Lake Lanier.
On Friday night, we had a delicious meal with lots of summer veggies.

Saturday was super-rainy so we putted around on the pontoon boat dodging the rain, relaxed some inside, and then had a really fun Hibachi dinner at Kiku.
Sunday was gorgeous, so we got up early and spent the morning skiing - with two skis (David and me), with one ski (Colby), and with no skis (Jamie)

Bax was watching David intently in the water!

And trying to find some shade on the ski boat.

Jamie donned his wet suit for some barefoot action. We had never seen him barefoot ski before, and were excited...it's intense!

Pretty cool, huh?
We were impressed!

We've got pals coming up this weekend too - loving this summer on the water!

Family Vacay

After the busy week of the 4th, I headed to the beach to meet my family for a few days of fun and sun. Sadly, David couldn't come this year. We missed him so bad!!

My first afternoon was spent under the umbrella - my favorite place. :)
I didn't even waste time changing into my swimsuit.

That night, the whole crew headed to Shrimp Boat for dinner. The food was great and I loved catching up with everyone!

This is almost everyone in the fam.
Back: My dad, Asa, Sydney, Spencer, Hugh, Ivy, Chandler, Jill, Brince, Laura Lyn, and Gracie
Front: My mom, Jamie, Bren, Katie, Tana, and me

I made sure to have all of my supplies for my first full day on the beach. Chair, umbrella, plenty of water, and a beach bag full of magazines and sunscreen. And yes, I don't even bother with shoes.

Lots of time was spent playing corn hole....

...enjoying the late afternoon sun...

...and teaching Gongaman how to play corn hole. He picked it right up!
How heavenly is this afternoon sun?

Me, mom, Laura Lyn, and Abbye have matching cover-ups...love!

 These are all the cousins...
Brince, Laura Lyn, Ivy, me, Abbye, Gracie, Sydney, Asa, Tana, Spencer, Hugh, Katie, and Chandler

Later in the week, we had a great dinner at Firefly, then me, Abbye, Brince, and Laura Lyn scooted to see the late, late movie showing of Savages. But not before we took a pic with Zach Galifianakis.

After most of the crew left the beach and went home, me, mom, and Abbye had girl time - a late lunch at Johnny Rockets before seeing Magic Mike

We were rebels and sneaked in milk-shakes!
More time was spent on the beach...

We even got to witness an afternoon wedding...
And later went to have mani/pedis and Bonefish in honor of Mom's birthday!

Happy Birthday Mom!
Our last day was spent under blue skies again on the beach. The best part of the day was that Pam, Amanda, Ben, Christie, Rodney, Lizzie, and Anne came over from Mexico Beach to play!

Ben, Lizzie, and Rodney got "slushies" for being so good!

A few rain clouds gave us a pretty rainbow!
And the rain stayed away from us...even though the clouds looked scary!
The last night was spent at Uncle Eddie's for dinner with Jill and Ivy and Ivy's friends.

And while I was away, my sweet hubs sent me this pic...a burger, beans, and chips over looking the lake...he was fine. :) Glad to be back home with him though!
