From the Coast to the Mountains, and everywhere in between!

Here's a peek into what we've been up to lately! 

Busy as bees!

A few weeks ago, we had my mother in law, Pammy, and her sister, Noel here for the night! It was a nice evening of visiting before we all set out on our weekend adventures - I headed to SSI the next day, Pammy and Noel headed to Athens then to SC, and David headed to Lexington, KY for the UGA game! whew!

The night before we all embarked, we did have a nice meal of grilled pork chops, apple and walnut salad, squash spoon bread and butternut squash soup! 

Dessert was mango sorbet with sparkling white grape juice!

The next day, Meghan and I headed to see Meredith! We met Jill and Kim there too for a fun fun fun weekend of pj time, a little gossip, and TV watching!

After arriving at Mere's, we had a small impromptu baby shower - a pack n' play and diaper bag for the soon-to-be-mommy! Baby Roberts should be here right around Thanksgiving! YAYYYYY!

Later that night, we had the BEST meal at Coastal Kitchen!

Feeling a little adventurous on Saturday, we headed to Barbara Jean's for a fabulous lunch and afterward, to mani/pedis!

Meghan and I came home on Sunday after saying our goodbye's - can't wait to see Mere ASAP - Baby Roberts will be here when I see her next!!!! 

Last week, David and I had dinner with Amanda and Ben! We ate at Local Kitchen and Tap in Suwanee - it was delish! Ben predicts Baby Griffin is a girl, and won me this Hello Kitty! What a sweetie!

I am undecided on what I think Baby G is, and our friends and family are pretty evenly split! I guess we'll have to wait and see - we're finding out on Christmas morning with everyone else! 

To get ready for our upcoming weekend in the mountains, I got to cookin'. I made corn dip, pasta salad, and spinach dip to snack on while we watched the UGA game, and zucchini bread for breakfast.

Before heading to the mountains, David and I actually scooted to Perry for Asa's senior night!

There were 32 kiddos honored that night so they took up a lot of room on the field with their parents!

On Saturday morning, bright and early, we hopped in the car heading to Highlands. It's a little over an hour from our house, so this ride was a cinch.

There, we met the Hughs and the Smithsons at the Martin's awesome mountain house. We stayed here last year, and had the best time! And we appreciate Callie's parents letting us have it for the weekend!

While there, we celebrated our sweet friend's birthday!

And cheered on the Dawgs from our favorite porch ever! Isn't this the best spot?!?! 

Now, we're back in Gainesville and staying put for the most part for the next 2 weeks. I'm bundled up at my desk today - the wind is sooo cold!!!

Another football game, a wedding, and a birthday

David and I made it to another of Asa's home football games last Friday night in Perry. They played Southland Academy, and really put on a show! WHS won the game by 38 points! 

Since it was Fair time, we also got a pretty view of the fireworks (which began right as our game ended!), and the rides in Midway!

We were all so excited for Asa's big win and his 19th birthday weekend, that everyone wanted their picture made with the football star/birthday boy!

On Saturday afternoon, David and I headed to Reynolds, GA to celebrate the wedding of our friends Lauren and Ben Lyons! It was such a pretty reception, and the food was wonderful!

On Sunday, David and I attended church with my parents and later went for  ride around the farm. My dad stopped to cut my mom and me some sorghum for our fall decor. 

We also gathered cat tails, cotton stalks, and mom found me some pyracantha. 

And then, on Sunday night, we celebrated Asa's 19th birthday with the whole fam! Minus Abbye - we missed her so bad!

And on another sweet family note, my cousin Drew and his wife Kelly welcomed their first bundle of joy into the world  - Ben Drew Cravey, IV. 

How precious is he??!??!?!

Today, my girlfriends and I are heading to St. Simons for the weekend to visit another little-mama-to-be! 

Marketplace 2012

This year, I am helping with Marketplace here in Gainesville. The Marketplace event is held at the Civic Center, with many local vendors setting up booths just in time for your Christmas shopping!

I am on the Artsy Garden committee too. Artsy Garden is a collection of fabulous donated items all up for silent auction. The money raised goes to the volunteer services at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. 

In addition to all of this fun-ness, I will be hosting Heery's Too!'s booth over the weekend - we'll have gorgeous Christmas items for sale, incredible gift items, and much more! Be sure and come by!

And last but not least, my friend, the fabulous James Farmer, will be giving a short talk and hosting a book signing at Marketplace on November 10th at 1pm. Be sure and stop by to meet him!

David and I are expecting a little bambino in May! 

We couldn't be more happy or feel more blessed for our tiny, lime-sized bundle of joy!

Let's Go Dawgs!

We are so happy with how well UGA's season is going - undefeated! And the win over TN was huge!!! We sure hope they keep it up!

I wanted to share our fun weekend in Athens, but first I had to show you the world's cutest baseball player - our nephew Ben!

He's in a fall baseball league, and playing so well! 

Anyway, now that you're chock full of cuteness, back to this past weekend.

On Friday night we had a little bit of company - Gray and Sydney, Colby and Jamie, and later, Kim and Nick all the way from Nashville!

Nick was running in a half iron man triathlon on Sunday in Augusta and they made a pit-stop to see us on Friday night - so sweet!

Since Baxter still has his cast, everyone took turns signing it! He was in heaven with all of the attention!

On Saturday morning, we made our way to Athens to meet Laura Lyn and Brince for some tailgate hopping. We got to catch the Dawg Walk too!

We stopped by the Muller's tailgate to see Lauren, Ryals, Meghan, Brian and the Muller/Stone fams...they always have the BEST set up!

I hear ESPN Game Day will be in Columbia - will be a great time!
