A Hometown Shower for Baby G

Over Easter Weekend, Baby Griffin and I were showered with love once again! My aunts along with my mom's special friends held a lovely shower on Saturday morning to celebrate our soon-to-be-here little one! Everything was just gorgeous! Finally, spring was in the air!

The hostesses went all out to make every detail so very special...here are the adorable cookies made with love by the talented Mrs. Jan McCord - they were just delicious!

A coffee bar was set in the sun room along with lemon water

A mum covered baby rattle graced the front door - isn't it just precious!!!

There was a wishing tree for Baby G on the front porch - so sweet!

David stopped by to tell everyone hello before the party began!

And so many special friends were there to celebrate with us! Loved seeing Amy and Mrs. Connie!

Even Baby Ansley and Baby Charlotte came with their pretty mommies - Shelley and Jesse! So glad to see these little princesses!

The food was just delightful! Fruit, cheese straws, lady fingers, cookies, chicken salad, and quiche graced the dining room table - it was all wonderful! And I loved the flower arrangements!

These are some pretty special women in my life!
Mrs. Judy, Claudette, Bevvy, my Aunt Jill, Trina, Jenn, Tina, and my Aunt D!

Baby Griffin was fixed up! He is totally spoiled already and will be the most chic bambino around!

Here are the grandmothers - what a lucky thing our little man will be!

It was a fabulous morning and I loved every minute of seeing everyone!
Now, I'm almost 36 weeks - only a month to go to meet our little bundle of love! I've had the best pregnancy, and have been so lucky to feel good over the last nine months. We can't wait to meet our baby boy though - he'll be here soon!

Easter Sunday

We were so happy to be home for the Easter weekend - my mom went all out with Easter Sunday lunch. After church, we had a lovely lunch! We missed Abbye though!

We were tickled that we were by the camellia bush and could only find one bloom! Cooper was such a good little sport!
Here's the soon-to-be Mr. and Mrs.!

And the soon-to-be mommy and daddy!

And the soon-to-be grandparents!

All the men.

We had my Aunt Dinah with her 4 kids, Aunt Jill and Gracie, my Gongaman, and my in-laws Pammy and Pop all for lunch on Sunday. It was so nice to have everyone together!

Mom's Easter decor looked so cute

The dining room was beautiful!

I don't have any pics of lunch, but the food was amazing! And these cup cakes were too!

Hope you all had a happy Easter weekend too!

Friends, Family, Food, and Flowers for Baby Griffin!

This past weekend was just the best!
On Friday, I anxiously awaited the arrival of my three best friends - James, Amy, and Christen. I was so excited I couldn't stand it!
David and I were thrilled to have the company for the weekend - one that would include lots of pie, delicious meals, a rearrange-a-thon, and an incredible shower for our soon-to-be-here baby boy.
Having the party at our home was super special - it gave me an excuse to finish  a few things around here, let everyone see the baby's nursery (more on that on my other blog soon, promise), and allowed us all to be together at our home.
From Friday to Sunday, we all played catch-up...really, there was never a silent moment!
My awesome parents arrived late Saturday night so we loved spending Sunday morning before the party with them.
My other amazing friends Colby and Terry along with Suzanne all hosted the event with Christen, Amy and James. James spoiled me with his gorgeous arrangements tucked around every where - regardless of this wintry weather we're having now, Spring has now sprung in the Griffin house!

The food was absolutely incredible! I loved the blue and white linens a la' JTFIII, and was so tickled to have the blue cheese and jam biscuits from his new cookbook; which is divine by the way. You all need a copy ASAP.
Mimosas and orange juice were served along with delicious chicken salad cups, gorgeous fruit, Amy's haystacks (she knows how much I LOVE them!), the most wonderful scones, and absolutely adorable cupcakes from Star Provisions.

The chicken salad is a middle GA staple - I was so glad James and Amy brought it up.
Colby and Terry's fruit display was amazing, and they had my favorites to boot - pineapple and mango!
Christen did a wonderful job with James' cheese biscuit recipe too!

I loved all of James' floral compositions in the silver buckets! They made everything look lush and Spring-y around here! And mixed with the blue and white linens it was so clean and fresh!

How adorable are these baby bird cupcakes!?!? My sweet Suzanne had them done in Atlanta - and believe me, they taste as good as they look! Chocolate cake with toasted coconut on top as the nest. And the best surprise - there's chocolate candy at the bottom too! Yummo!!!

Suzanne also made this precious diaper cake for me...filled with diapers, Bla Bla's, rattles, finger puppets, baby toys, and more. She's got such a talent for making them and I love the way it looks in the nursery now.

I was so happy that my brother Brince came with my grandfather, Gongaman. And Lauren and Renee scooted up from Atlanta as well! So many sweet family and friends came to celebrate our baby boy and this mama felt so loved all day long! Aunts, cousins, Athens friends, Gainesville buddies, and more were all here to make our day special.

We received precious things for our baby boy...he's going to be a well dressed bambino for sure!

Here I am with my amazing hostesses!

It was a beautiful party with sweet friends and family - Baby Boy Griffin is so blessed already! David and I are so lucky to have such giving friends to celebrate our happy time, and we loved every moment of our special weekend!
