I bet that chances are, you all knew someone getting married this past weekend. May 4th seemed to be a popular date!
We managed to make it to 2 of the 3 weddings we were invited to, and it was fun to do double duty! Have I lost my mind travelling at 39 weeks preggie? Quite possibly. But, my Dr. gave me the green light again last week, and off we went! :)
First, my first cousin Andrew was marrying his fiance Hannah in her hometown of Greenville, AL. We had the pleasure of attending the gorgeous rehearsal dinner and the beautiful Saturday morning wedding. Check out their wedding announcement here. They made the NY Times!
Here are some of the pics I snapped:
The flowers were all in white and green - so pretty! And the pavilion where the dinner was held was so amazing!
My handsome date!
Brince - the next Coody groom-to-be, and David!
There were the best breakfast bags for us on Saturday morning before the ceremony - muffins, "silver"ware, cinnamon rolls, poppy seed biscuits, and fruit!
The Episcopal church were the ceremony took place is absolutely beautiful. And it was lovely on this crisp, sunny Saturday morning in Southern Alabama.
Hannah and Andrew's details were so fun....church programs were gorgeous, and the map was so charming. Their water bottles reflected the old home where the reception took place.
The reception was a few miles outside of town on the grounds of a family friend's home. The house is very old and has lots of character!
There was a tent with the brunch style food. It was raining everywhere else in the Southeast, but Andrew and Hannah were given the most glorious cloud-free morning to celebrate their wedding!
Asa and Claire
The grounds had tons of old trees and there were lots of charming little paths like this one.
This is Bruce on the left - the father of the groom, with my Aunt D and my Dad
Next up: Laura Lyn and Brince!!!! yay!!!
Here's my mom with my aunts Dinah and Susan

We had lunch on the front porch -it was so pretty!
The new Mr. and Mrs. Robert Andrew Coody

Their gorgeous cake!
After a fabulous brunch and celebrating with the bride and groom, we all headed back to GA. David and I had one more stop to make on the way home to Gainesville - the wedding reception of our friends Wade and Kate in Atlanta!
When we arrived at the reception site, it was definitely raining , but it was magical under the gorgeous clear tent! We made it just in time to see the bride and groom's first dance and to see Wade dance with his mom.
A family friend hosted the reception of the happy couple, and their yard was incredible!
Everything looked so pretty!
I loved the khaki and navy scheme of the bridal party - and Kate looked amazing!
So happy to see the other soon-to-be parents!

David and I spent our Sunday being maja lazy - it was glorious! We did manage to get our bags packed for the hospital and the car seat installed! Come on Baby Boy Griffin! Today, I am 1 week from my due date. He's definitely out growing his space in there - I feel him kick me much harder now! I just can't wait to see what he looks like in person. If I were uncomfortable, I'd be more anxious to have him here, but I feel good - so it's nice to have a few more days for this mommy and daddy!
Our cousin Kathryn will welcome her baby girl Morgan into the world on Thursday - so we're all praying for her healthy delivery and hope Baby G follows soon after. Farmer Dad says Thursday's the day for us too - we'll have a new moon on May 9th - maybe he's on to something! :)
